To our GA, AGA & PPGA partners,
Effective June 4, 2007 we are implementing changes to our broker contracting process in order to best serve you and your advisors.
This process applies to all GAs, AGAs and PPGAs contracted in Ontario with Standard Life.
We will no longer accept contracting applications for advisors transferring from one GA/AGA to another unless there is new business attached to the contract request. The business can be an application for any one of the following: Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Segregated Funds, Term Funds or Annuities.
In addition, any application for contract from new advisors not yet contracted with a Standard Life distributor will also require the advisor to submit a new piece of business from any of the product lines mentioned above. This business must be attached to the contracting package prior to submission to our regional centre for processing.
Any contracting applications received prior to June 4, 2007 or already pending will be processed as per our current guidelines.
